A Choral Award is a music award held by a student singing in a Cambridge college chapel choir, with a small yearly financial award, singing training and other college benefits. 23 colleges take part in the Intercollegiate scheme. Auditions test a folk song, range and aural tests and sight-reading, and applications are separate from the academic application.
