A roughly four-month leadership program for high school students across Japan on the SDGs and sustainable entrepreneurship, with online training, a fully funded study trip to the San Francisco Bay Area and a final presentation in Tokyo. The 2027 call has not been announced yet.
Run by the U.S.-Japan Council's TOMODACHI Initiative with MUFG's support, the program builds leaders who strengthen U.S.-Japan ties and tackle SDG-related issues. Participants reflect on their strengths and values, learn inquiry thinking and leadership online, visit companies and NPOs in the Bay Area, and present their own SDG action vision in Tokyo. About 20 students took part in 2026.
