A scheme of the Tamil Nadu Labour Welfare Board for the children of workers who contribute to the Labour Welfare Fund. Under the Educational Scholarship the amount for Higher Secondary is Rs 2,000, awarded on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination. A separate Book Allowance of Rs 1,000 is given for the Higher Secondary course (only for private school students); evening college and correspondence courses are not eligible.
