Annual national televised contest of the Ministry of Culture for young singers of the Uzbek maqom and hofiz tradition, named after the great hofiz singers Joʻraxon Sultonov and Maʼmurjon Uzoqov. Winners receive a Minister of Culture diploma and cash prizes.
The contest is organised by the Ministry of Culture together with its Centre for Supporting Gifted Youth and the "Madaniyat va maʼrifat" TV channel. It aims to promote the legacy of the hofiz singers Joʻraxon Sultonov and Maʼmurjon Uzoqov and to develop national maqom performance among young people. The final is staged as a television show, and a jury judges performance skill, stage culture and faithfulness to national music traditions. The age band changes between editions: in 2026 it was 12-16, in 2025 it was 18-30.
