A Government of Goa bursary that reimburses college and diploma fees (up to Rs 40,000 a year) for students from families earning less than Rs 5 lakh, relevant to Class 10 and 12 pass-outs joining institutions in Goa. The next application window is not yet announced.
Eligible students get their actual 'entitled fees' (registration, tuition, library, lab, gymkhana, IT and practical fees, plus up to Rs 5,000 for textbooks) reimbursed by direct transfer to the bank account, up to Rs 40,000 a year. Courses of up to five years in institutions in Goa affiliated to Goa University or recognised by the Directorate of Higher Education or Technical Education are covered; full-time attendance is required. A student cannot hold a similar benefit from another scheme.
