Diamond Light Source Work Experience Week 2027 (Years 10-13)

Diamond Light Source's annual on-site work experience week for UK students in Years 10-13: an introduction to the national synchrotron then a three-day project in one of around 20 areas such as software, engineering, chemistry or communications. Applications for 2027 open in mid-December 2026.

After a day's introduction and tour, students complete a three-day project in a specific area (for example building a dashboard, designing a particle accelerator, protein crystallography or science communication) and present to peers and visitors on the final day.
