A central scholarship for Class 9-10 students with benchmark disabilities (40% or more), giving a monthly maintenance allowance, a book grant and a disability allowance, applied for on the National Scholarship Portal.
Run by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities for students of Class IX and X. The scholarship is for one class or academic year at a time, covers no tuition fee (none is charged) and pays a book grant of Rs 1,000 a year, a disability allowance of Rs 2,000 to Rs 4,000 a year, and monthly support of Rs 800 for hostellers or Rs 500 for day scholars for 12 months.
