Bursaries of up to £1,200 for 16 to 18 year olds in vulnerable groups, or discretionary support decided by their school or college, to help with the costs of study in England. Apply through your own provider.

There are two types of bursary: a bursary for students in vulnerable groups worth up to £1,200, and a discretionary bursary where the provider decides the amount and what it covers (equipment, travel, meals, trips). Payment may be cash or items such as a travel pass or books.
