The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports' national youth leadership journey for ages 15-29 (so open to Class 10-12 students): an online quiz and essay, then district, state and national rounds, with a chance to present ideas to the Prime Minister. The 2027 edition's open stages have ended; the next call has not been announced.
VBYLD 2027 aligned with the vision of creating one lakh young leaders from non-political backgrounds. It followed a five-stage Viksit Bharat Challenge pathway (Quiz, Essay, District Championship, State/UT VBYLD, National VBYLD) and had six tracks: Viksit Bharat Challenge, Cultural Track (folk dance, folk song, painting, declamation, poetry), Design for Bharat, Hack for Social Cause, Youth Entrepreneurs Challenge and Youth Parliament. The quiz drew 1,45,26,013 attempts.
