An essay prize from Trinity College Cambridge for students in Year 12 or the Lower Sixth. Essays are on a general question from a list released each March and submitted in the summer. Trinity says information for 2027 will be posted on its essay prizes page in February 2027.

The Silver CREST Award recognises a student-led STEM project of around 30 hours, assessed by a CREST assessor, with a nationally recognised British Science Association award. Projects can be submitted year-round through the CREST application platform.

A free, no-audition programme from the National Youth Orchestra for 13-18 year-old orchestral players of about Grade 6-8, with free workshops, residencies and a full orchestra experience. Applications for 2027 are closed and interest can be registered for 2028.
