Biennial national contest of the Ministry of Culture for pupils of specialised art and culture schools, boarding schools, technikums and academic lyceums, in music, dance, theatre and folklore. The 2025 edition had 628 participants in 12 directions and 70 nominations.
The contest is held under Cabinet Resolution No. 226 of 13 October 2008 and Presidential Resolution PQ-112 of 2 February 2022. In 2025 it took place at the State Conservatory, the Yunus Rajabiy Institute of Uzbek National Music, the Republican Choreography Boarding School, the Uspensky and Glier Republican specialised music schools, children's music and art schools No. 3 and No. 7 and the Uchtepa culture centre. Directions included traditional singing, traditional instruments, academic singing, wind and percussion, strings, folk instruments, piano, pop singing, pop instruments, theatre, choreography and folklore. Of 628 participants, 429 advanced to the second round, and 242 winners took 1st-3rd places. Under Resolution No. 226 (as amended in December 2025), graduates who win 1st place in national music, dance, theatre or folklore contests receive the maximum score in the relevant subject of university creative entrance exams.
