InoVIT 2027: VIT National Level Science Contest for School Students

VIT's mega annual national science contest for school students of Classes 9-12, with poster presentation, model making, quiz and debate events held on the Vellore campus. The 2026 edition was held on 31 January 2026; the 2027 edition has not been announced.

InoVIT is organised by VIT's School of Advanced Sciences to encourage scientific innovation among school students. Events: poster presentation (up to 2 students per team; 2026 topics included renewable energy, sustainable development, India's future in space exploration, AI, and the science of happiness), model making (up to 3 per team), quiz (2 per team, with a preliminary round) and debate (individual, English or Tamil). Winners receive prizes and certificates, and participants get a certificate. Accommodation is available at nominal charges for students from beyond 80 km on prior request.
