Olimpiade · Tatap muka
Vietnam's top national subject olympiad for upper-secondary students, run by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) in maths, sciences, informatics, literature, history, geography and foreign languages.
The national exam (Kỳ thi chọn học sinh giỏi quốc gia THPT) is held once a year. In 2025–26 more than 6,750 students sat 13 subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, English, Russian, French, Chinese and Japanese. Top scorers in maths, physics, chemistry, biology and informatics are invited to the national olympiad team selection exam. MOET amended the exam regulation by Circular 88/2026/TT-BGDĐT (issued 16 October 2026, in force 1 December 2026); the draft proposed keeping the exam stable, adding selection for an Artificial Intelligence olympiad team from informatics candidates and setting team sizes of 10–30 students per subject per province.
