A design-build engineering competition at UNBC in Prince George for teams of 2-4 students in Grades 10-12, with tuition credits toward a UNBC Engineering program as prizes.
Teams design, build and present an apparatus for a set challenge (the 2027 challenge shoots a hockey puck toward a target, powered by a falling sandbag within a 1 m x 1 m x 2 m footprint). Teams present to judges and take part in a Q&A. Prizes include School of Engineering swag and tuition credits toward a UNBC Engineering program, and participating teams receive funds to complete their design.
