SNIC's two-round chemistry olympiad for upper-secondary students: an online multiple-choice round in school, then an open-ended paper at NUS for the top scorers.
Round 1 is a 100% multiple-choice paper on the ClassMarker platform; each student gets a unique access code, and every Round 1 participant receives an e-certificate. The top 10% advance to Round 2, with at least one student per ten participants from each school. Round 2 participants receive a gold, silver or bronze medal with certificate, or a certificate of merit, and top schools are placed in Bands 1–3. Only non-programmable scientific calculators are allowed; a periodic table is provided.
