Saitama's grant-type study-abroad scholarship includes sponsored courses for high school students who study at an overseas high school for three months or more, paying 500,000 yen per student.

The Saitama-hatsu Sekai-iki scholarship is funded by donations and Saitama Prefecture and run by the Saitama International Association. In 2026 the high school courses were the GEORGIA Future Support Scholarship (sponsored by Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan, 500,000 yen, up to 30 students), the Musashi Corporation scholarship (500,000 yen, 1 student) and the Keiko Iguchi Memorial Scholarship (500,000 yen, up to 5 students, priority to low-income households). Scholars are appointed Saitama Goodwill Ambassadors during their stay and submit reports after returning.
