The first stage of India's Chemistry Olympiad pathway: a two-hour national exam organised by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers for Class 10-12 students, leading to INChO and the OCSC selection camp.
NSEC is Stage I of the five-stage National Olympiad Programme in Chemistry, coordinated by HBCSE. Top scorers are shortlisted for INChO (Stage II), then the Orientation-cum-Selection Camp (OCSC), the training stage and the International Olympiad team. Every student wanting to continue through the programme must enrol in the NSE of that year. Syllabus: up to Class 12 (CBSE).
