LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation scholarships for students from economically weaker families: a Special Scholarship of Rs 15,000 a year after Class 10 (for Class 11-12, diploma or ITI) and a General Scholarship of Rs 20,000-50,000 a year after Class 12. The next cycle has not been announced.
Each of LIC's 112 Divisional Offices selects 120 scholars: 80 General scholarships after Class 12 (40 male, 40 female) and 40 Special scholarships after Class 10 (20 boys, 20 girls). General scholarship amounts in 2026: Rs 50,000 a year for medicine, Rs 40,000 for engineering, Rs 20,000 for other graduation, integrated, diploma, vocational or ITI courses. Special scholarship: Rs 15,000 a year for Intermediate/10+2, vocational or diploma courses or ITI. Selection is on merit by marks in Class 12 or 10, with lower family income as tie-breaker.
