Olimpiade · Hibrida
A free, government-funded training and selection programme that picks Korea's six-member team for the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) through staged online courses, weekend schools and exams in physics, chemistry and biology.
KJSO has a regular course and a pre (preparatory) course. The regular course moves through three stages of online lectures with exams at the end of each stage (about 70 students reach stage 2, about 30 stage 3, about 10 the preliminary national team, and 6 the final team), plus monthly Sunday weekend schools and offline exams at Gyeongin National University of Education (Gyeonggi campus). The pre course gives monthly online basics in physics, chemistry and biology from July to February. Certificates are given for each completed stage.
