The 30th International Astronomy Olympiad of the Euro-Asian Astronomical Society takes place in Andijan, Uzbekistan, on 6-14 December 2026. Uzbek school students take part as members of Uzbekistan's team, formed through the Fan olimpiadalari markazi.
The International Astronomy Olympiad (IAO) has been held since 1996 under the Euro-Asian Astronomical Society. The 2026 edition, the 30th, is hosted in Andijan. Contestants are divided into age groups by year of birth and past participation; each team may have up to 6 students (recommended 3 in group a, 2 in group b and 1 in group g), and for IAO-2026 any country may send a full team. Teams can also take part online in remote (IRAO) mode. The Science Olympiads Centre lists the IAO among the international olympiads Uzbekistan takes part in (first participation 2019).
