Hampshire History Competition 2026-27

A free annual history project competition for Hampshire students in Years 7-13, with cash prizes. Entries must use archives and are submitted through the school or college.

Students enter a project on any aspect of Hampshire history, for example the history of their town, village, street, school or family, in forms such as essays, films, blogs, posters or oral history recordings. Projects must demonstrate the use of archives. There are individual and group categories for Years 7-9, Years 10-11 and Sixth Form: individual winners receive £100 and a certificate, and group winners receive £300 towards resources plus a trophy.
