Aryabhata: The All-Keralam Space Quiz Challenge 2026 (Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham with ISRO), Grades 9-12

A statewide space quiz for Kerala school teams of two in Grades 9-12, run by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in association with ISRO, with a prize pool worth Rs 5 lakh and a finale at Amrita TV Studio in Kochi. The event has been postponed and new dates are to be announced.

Six stages: team registration; open online curtain-raiser quizzes; zonal written prelims in South, Central and North Keralam (top 8 teams per zone); zonal quarter-finals on stage (4 teams qualify per zone, 12 in all); semi-finals at Amrita TV Studio, Kochi (4 finalists); and the Grand Finale. Topics include astronomy, the Solar System, space missions, rockets and launch vehicles, satellites, the Indian space programme, international space agencies and emerging space technologies. Prize pool worth Rs 5 lakh: state champions Rs 1,00,000, runners-up Rs 50,000, two finalists Rs 25,000 each, 12 consolation teams Rs 5,000 each (Rs 60,000); zonal champions Rs 25,000, runners-up Rs 15,000, finalists Rs 10,000 each. Finalists also get a campus experience with lab visits and sessions with faculty.
