Take the 75-minute individual mathematics exam at an approved US site; qualifying scores can lead to AIME and later olympiad stages.
AMC 10A is the Nov 5, 2026 offering in the 2026–2027 MAA mathematical olympiad pathway. It contains 25 multiple-choice problems in elementary algebra, basic geometry, number theory and probability; advanced algebra/geometry and trigonometry are excluded. A competition manager administers paper or digital answers in person at the registered venue; digital delivery does not allow home/remote proctoring. This entry covers US venues, which students select through their school or another registered institution. Success can lead to AIME and later USAMO/USAJMO under those stages’ separate eligibility rules; it does not guarantee selection.
