Children of families in Uzbekistan's Social Register compete for extra tuition-free state-grant places, up to 10% on top of the regular bachelor's grant places at state universities.
Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 578 (edited on 29 January 2026) sets aside additional state-grant admission places of up to 10% of the grant places for each bachelor's programme for children of families in the Social Register. The State Admission Commission approves how these places are split by programme. Applicants who score at least 80% of the grant pass mark for a programme are recommended for these places in strict score order. The benefit applies only to the first programme chosen at registration and not to applicants who score below the minimum pass mark set for grants.
