UVA Emerging Engineers 2027

A free, week-long summer day program at UVA Engineering where high-school students pick an engineering track, solve a design challenge and present it at the closing Expo.

Students choose a track (in 2026: biomedical, materials science, systems, mechanical, aerospace or chemical engineering), get a project on day one, and work through faculty lectures, lab tours, hands-on activities and time with UVA engineering students. The week ends with the Emerging Engineers Expo for families and faculty. It is a day camp: no lodging or transportation is provided.
