A financial and economics learning contest for junior high, high school and university students in which teams pick an investment theme, build a virtual stock portfolio and write a report.

Organized by Nikkei Inc. with special sponsorship from Nomura Holdings. Teams of 3-5 study the economy and stock investing, choose an investment theme, build a virtual portfolio and submit a report, which goes through first, second and final judging. Awards include the Grand Prize (with an overseas study trip), division prizes and special awards; award-winning teams attend the ceremony with travel costs paid. Participants can read the Nikkei digital edition for free during the contest, and learning materials are provided free of charge. Junior high, high school and university divisions are judged separately.
