Al-Khwarizmi International Mathematics and Informatics Olympiad (KhIMIO) 2027

An annual international junior-level olympiad in mathematics and informatics hosted in Uzbekistan by the Fan olimpiadalari markazi; Uzbek pupils compete as members of Uzbekistan's team. The 4th edition took place in June 2026 and the organisers say they will return next year.

KhIMIO honours the scholar al-Khwarizmi and aims to find and support pupils with exceptional ability in mathematics and informatics, with problems set at junior level. The mathematics contest has two written rounds of 4 problems (4 hours each, 56 points in total). The informatics contest runs online over two days with 3 problems a day in C++ (800 points in total). Medals are awarded in a 1:2:3 ratio, with certificates and special awards. The 2026 edition brought together more than 270 participants from 17 countries, according to the Centre.
