Japan's national Japanese-language debate championship for junior high and high school teams, organised by NADE. Teams qualify through seven regional tournaments held in early summer.
Teams of 4-6 debate a set national motion in Japanese (2026: junior high 'Japan should penalise abstention in elections'; high school 'Japan should introduce a wealth tax'). Prizes for winner, runner-up, 3rd and 5th places, a Best Debater award and a Best Communication award in each division. Supported by MEXT and the Yomiuri Shimbun.
