Ashinaga High School Scholarship (Grant), Call for Current High-School Students - 2027

Ashinaga's JPY 30,000-a-month grant for high-school and kosen students who have lost a parent to illness, disaster or suicide, or whose parent has a grade 1-5 disability. The 2027 call for current students is scheduled to open on 1 April 2027; the 2026 call closed on 20 May 2026.

The current-student call of Ashinaga's high-school grant selects about 800 students by document screening. The grant amount is the same for national, public and private schools. In the previous year 1,720 students applied for 800 places; the household take-home income of awardees was JPY 3.54 million or less (four-person household).
