A national team science competition in which teams of 2–4 students imagine a technology that could exist in 20 years, research it and present it in a written project; national winners receive savings bonds and a trip to Washington, DC.
Run by the Toshiba America Foundation and NSTA, ExploraVision has four grade categories judged separately; the oldest student determines the category, and grades 10–12 compete at the High School Level. Prizes: first-place national winners choose a $10,000 Series EE Savings Bond at maturity, $5,000 cash or a $5,000 529 contribution per student; second place gets half that; regional winners receive technology prizes and a school ceremony.
