A free four-round economics olympiad for grades 8–12: school, regional and national rounds in Kazakhstan, with the top five going to Olympia, Greece.
Narxoz University runs the Kazakhstan rounds of the international Economics Olympiad. Students choose Kazakh, Russian or English at the school round; roughly the top 10% of each language group per school advance, and 50% on the regional test qualifies for the national round. The national round has a test and, for the top 10, an oral exam in English before a jury of economists; the top five form Team Kazakhstan.
