'Money Essay' Contest for Junior High Students (J-FLEC Okane no Sakubun) - 60th edition, 2027

Organized by the Japan Financial Literacy and Education Corporation (J-FLEC) with backing from the Financial Services Agency, MEXT, the Bank of Japan and the Japan PTA. Any money-related theme is welcome (sample themes in 2026: your future dream and money, your own or your family's money rules, spending money well, money in the news). In 2026: 5 Special Prizes (including the Minister for Financial Services, MEXT Minister and Bank of Japan Governor Awards) with 40,000-yen book cards, 5 Excellence Prizes with 20,000-yen book cards, 10 Honourable Mentions with 3,000-yen book cards, and 5 school awards.
